Construction Photos

Here are some scenes from the recently concluded construction project--as well as some photos of our plumbing for you tradesmen-types.  Some marvelous work was done by the skilled contractor Build Corps, Inc. and their subcontractors.  This team removed the library's non-functional fireplace and re-routed pipes.  In both library and dining room, Build Corps installed new electric service and light fixtures, flooring, ceiling and painting.  When that was finished, we were able to replace some of the very tired (and remarkably uncomfortable) library furniture.
The work began Thanksgiving week of 2010 and concluded in early January, 2011--on time and within budget.  You can see the finished product on the page marked "Photographs/Interior."
We are grateful to the design efforts of Domenella Architects of Chicago, as well as input on the interior design by Chicago's Lugbill Designs.  Last, but not least, a thank you goes out to Don Antila of the Archdiocese's Construction and Facilities Department for his assistance in construction management.
