The Cardinal Stritch Retreat House, a ministry supported by the generosity of the people of the Archdiocese
of Chicago and its other benefactors, invites you to come away to pray. This invitation to pray is extended
to you as you pass through our front door. Overhead is the inscription "Venite seorsum."
Come away by yourselves--come away to pray.
The Retreat House serves the ministers
of the Church as a place of prayer and retreat. Originally founded in the early 1950s for the priests of the Archdiocese,
over the years, the mission has expanded to now include deacons and their wives, lay ministers, men and women religious and
other Church-related groups. We welcome not only ministers of the Chicago Archdiocese but also all Catholic ministers
who find the Retreat House conveniently located for their needs.
This preserve of nature,
comprising approximately 900 acres of forest and water, is the ideal setting for beholding the glory of God. Come away
to a quiet place to pray. Venite seorsum.
