Madonna and Child
A statue of Mary and Child honors our entryway.

The Cardinal Stritch Retreat House, a ministry supported by the generosity of the people of the Archdiocese of Chicago and its other benefactors, invites you to come away to pray.

The mission of the Retreat House, broadly stated, is to serve the needs of the ministers of the Church as a place of prayer and retreat.  Originally founded in the early 1950s for the priests of the Archdiocese, over the years, the mission has expanded to now include deacons and their wives, lay ministers, men and women religious and other Church-related groups.  We welcome not only ministers of the Chicago Archdiocese but also all Catholic ministers who find the Retreat House conveniently located for their needs.

It is aim of the staff here always to live out the mandate of St. Benedict's Rule 53:  Welcome the traveler in whom you will see the face of Christ.
